BioBased® Insulation is the world's leading manufacturer and marketer of soy-based spray applied wall insulating foams in terms of sales, brand name, product performance, testing and certifications. We helped pioneer the entire category of "green" spray foam to offer a more sustainable insulation alternative through the integration of renewable ingredients into our spray foam systems and the development of water-blown closed cell technology.

Though relatively new to the market, BioBased® Insulation quickly made a name for itself when BioBased® 501w, the company's first product, was named the Outstanding Green Product of the Year at the 2003 National Green Building Conference. The awards and recognition have continued since then.

We currently market BioBased® 501w, a 0.5 pound density, open cell foam that is ICC rated and water blown; and BioBased® 1701s, a 1.7 pound density, closed cell foam that is water blown and meets GREENGUARD for Children and Schools Our products are distributed through a global network of highly trained, independent installers that are experienced in building science and product application.

All products manufactured and marketed by BioBased® Insulation have met rigorous performance and laboratory testing standards and include a lifetime warranty. All products are third-party tested by accredited independent laboratories to ASTM standards and are accompanied by complete specification data sheets.

At BioBased® Insulation we are committed to developing a family of sustainable spray foam insulation products that perform well and benefit the environment. Our goal is to reduce dependence on petroleum products by correctly sealing buildings to make them more energy efficient while utilizing the latest technology to incorporate renewable materials into our products and sustainable practices into our business.

We differ from other companies in that our entire focus is the development of increasingly sustainable products – that is all we do. Every day our scientists are focused on finding ways to replace the traditional ingredients used in polyurethane foam systems with ones that are healthier and more environmentally friendly.

At BioBased® Insulation we believe that we've shown it is possible to produce more sustainable products without sacrificing performance, safety and quality. BioBased® Insulation products have been used in numerous LEED projects including Heifer Project International, the Evelyn Pease Tyner Center and the Shangri La Gardens and Nature Center as well as in the American Lung Association Health House and the PATH Concept Home.

BioBased Insulation is based in Fayetteville, Arkansas in a recently-completed corporate headquarters and laboratory facility that will be LEED Silver certified.
