3A Composites USA (formerly Alcan Composites) has manufacturing facilities in Benton, Kentucky, where the first
North American production of Alucobond® Material took place in the late 1970's.
Intended primarily for the architectural market, Alucobond Material was the
first aluminum/plastic composite of its kind. The product line has grown to
include such products as Alucobond® Plus Material, specifically designed to
address current building code criteria for high-rise and non-combustible construction.
The products have been used in the fabrication of curtainwall systems and cladding
for more than 50,000 buildings worldwide, and for interiors and signage. The
company has a sales office in St. Louis, MO. 3A Composites USA Inc. is one
of the companies that comprise the global business unit known as 3A Composites.
Other sister companies manufacturing Alucobond Material are 3A Composites
Singen (Germany), 3A Composites China in Shanghai, and 3A Composites Brazil.
For over 40 years, the Singen, Germany facility has been a leading supplier
of aluminum composite panels.
