XYPEX Crystalline Technology waterproofs and enhances the chemical protection of concrete though its unique reactive process.  The active chemical components in XYPEX react with the by-products of cement hydration resulting in a non-soluble crystalline structure that fills and plugs the pores and capillary tracts within the structure. In this way, the concrete becomes impermeable to water and other liquids and is chemically protected against chemical attack.

XYPEX is a cost effective alternative to other waterproofing and protective coating systems.   It can be applied on the positive or negative side of structures that are currently in use, does not require protection during backfilling, seals static hairline cracks up to 0.4mm and is less costly to apply than most other methods.  XYPEX can also be used as an admixture at the time of batching which eliminates the need to apply protective coatings in the field thus reducing costs and application variables.

Applications
Specific formulations of XYPEX are available for application as a coating, dry-shake or admixture, making it very useful in the value engineering process. XYPEX is ideal for new construction or the rehabilitation of old deteriorated structures.  Typical projects include foundation walls and floors, parking structures, sewage and water treatment tanks, tunnels, pre-cast architectural panels, bridges, swimming pools, pipe, manholes.
