Services
Design Assistance To help you determine what equipment is required to accommodate your project's suspended maintenance and fall protection needs, Summit Anchor Co. can review your project's drawings and offer suggestions for the correct type of equipment needed and the general locations where these should be installed. Our design assistance is intended to provide a conceptual suspended maintenance system. Upon the customer's review and approval, Summit Anchor Co. will proceed with a detailed suspended maintenance system layout.
P.E. Stamped Layout Drawings Summit Anchor Co. has years of experience designing code-compliant layouts of efficient and cost-effective suspended maintenance systems. We give careful consideration to rooftop support, unique building features, methods of descent, fall protection, and stabilization. At the conclusion of the design process, Summit Anchor Co. will provide you with a layout drawing stamped by a Professional Engineer to assist you during installation and testing. This layout drawing includes product and connection details, as well as installation, inspection, certification, and re-certification notes.
Fabrication & Supply Once the customer releases the products for fabrication, production will begin. When ordering non-stock equipment, please allow three weeks for fabrication and delivery. Summit Anchor Co. also stocks hundreds of stock anchors ready for shipment to job sites. Contact Summit Anchor Co. to verify availability of stock anchors. For customers who are responsible for their own suspended maintenance layout, Summit Anchor Co. can supply you with the products you need and cut sheets for each product.
Installation Summit Anchor Co. provides expert installation on-site. Our site installation supervisors are well trained and have experience in suspended access equipment. We employ AWS (American Welding Society) welders when on-site welding is required. We pride ourselves on ensuring that the final product is neat and aesthetically pleasing. For example, we make every effort to install anchors in a straight line parallel to the building edge with anchor eyes facing the same direction. We use low vibration, low noise drills ideal for use in occupied buildings to keep noise and disruptions to a minimum. Installation work may be scheduled during non-working hours.
Testing & Certification Summit Anchor Co. systematically tests representative anchor models in our facilities to verify that our equipment complies with OSHA regulations and ANSI/IWCA I-14.1 Window Cleaning Safety Standards load requirements. All equipment we manufacture is supported by a test report documentation of raw materials and the finished product, so you can be certain that the equipment will meet load requirements if installed correctly. When Summit Anchor Co. installs your equipment, you will have the benefit of the initial certification letter by a P.E., certifying that the equipment meets all load requirements as installed. When you receive the close out documents, we will provide a proposal for budgeting the annual inspections required to keep your system code-compliant. We also test and evaluate suspended access equipment that may have been installed in the past by others. Upon completion of on-site compliance evaluation and testing, Summit Anchor Co. can provide you a condition report certified by a P.E. If Summit Anchor Co. supplies your equipment but does not install it, we may still be able to certify the equipment as installed. If it appears that your building's roof does not have sufficient anchorages to meet safety standards, we can perform a review of your suspended maintenance equipment. Factors such as anchor spacing and independence of anchorages for fall arrest and fall protection are considered. Our rooftop review will be supported by a written report with recommendations for any modifications.
