Pipe & Valve Marking

At Seton, we realize that workplace safety is a major concern of all companies, and pipe systems are no exception. We are one of the original members on the committee that established the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Standard A13.1-1988 Scheme for Identification of Piping Systems. In addition, all of our products have been updated to meet the latest ANSI/ASME A13.1-2007 recommendations and standards. The Standard recommends a universal approach to pipe and valve identification, and is designed to eliminate the guessing game regarding pipe content. Systems that are not identified can incur costly fines, but more importantly they can put someone’s life in danger. Seton pipe markers and valve tags meet or exceed ANSI standards for letter height, length of color field, background color, and letter color so you can be sure your project is in compliance.

Signage

Seton manufactures quality interior and exterior signs to help facilities comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Most recently, our signs have been updated to meet the new 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design. Compliance with the ADA ensures a safe and accessible environment, and those not in compliance can be subject to costly fines and penalties. Using Seton signage such as Braille signs not only helps your project comply—it adds to the decor creating a uniform professional look. Each is available in a variety of colors and has 5/8" (16 mm) letter height, Grade 2 Braille, 1/32" (.8 mm) high lettering and Braille height, and a 6" (152 mm) graphic area.

Resource Centers

Seton offers the following resource centers:

  • The AEC Resource Center is a helpful site for architects, engineers and contractors. It's easy to locate additional product information, specifications and submittals.
  • Seton’s exclusive Compliance Resource Center offers free information and tools to make your compliance job easier.

When you specify Seton in your next project, you can be confident you are working with the worldwide leader in safety and identification.
