If it isn’t white, it isn’t certified
formaldehyde-free.
Johns Manville is the only manufacturer of a complete line of certified Formaldehyde-free™ fiber
glass building insulation. We replaced the formaldehyde-based binder with a non-toxic
acrylic binder. That’s why our insulation is white. So if you’re specifying certified
formaldehyde-free, JM is the only product for the job.
Cleaner manufacturing, for a cleaner environment.
- US EPA recognized. Based on our switch to Formaldehyde-free™ insulation in 2002, only JM has been recognized in writing by US EPA as exempt from the air toxics regulations for the wool fiber glass insulation industry
- Pollution prevention. Through air pollution prevention JM removes 100+ tons of hazardous air pollutants annually
- Energy and carbon negative. Each pound of our insulation saves 12 times the energy required to produce it
- Recycled content. The impact on landfills is reduced by 90,000 tons each year by using 20% post-consumer and 5% post-industrial recycled bottled glass
- LEED eligible. Specifying JM contributes to prerequisite and point opportunities with the LEED USGBC program
JM products include a complete selection of faced and unfaced fiber glass batts, blankets and rigid boards for use in a wide variety of applications within walls, floors and ceiling assemblies and other specialty applications such as curtain walls and roof decks. In addition to their ability to significantly reduce energy consumption and improve sound control, these materials also add to occupant comfort and, where appropriate, can increase light reflectivity and enhance appearance. JM fiber glass insulation also provides a wide range of benefits including moisture
control, fire resistance, resistance to settling, increased HVAC life and minimal
to no maintenance.
JM’s insulation specs are pre-formatted and can easily be downloaded or copied and pasted into project proposals. Pre-formatted and LEED specs can be found on www.specJM.com.
