louvers, grilles, equipment screens and other products for the architectural
and mechanical markets. ILI is one of the largest louver manufacturers
in the United States.
ILI is recognized as a leader in developing circular, triangular, radius
head and other specially shaped louvers to meet specific design goals.
We can work with you to create customized louver systems to fit any application.

ILI offers a variety of louvers, including drainable, storm/weather-resistant,
sightproof, acoustical, thin line and adjustable louvers, in extruded aluminum
and other metals. Special capabilities include extremely large louver systems
and unusual shapes.
Equipment screens can be used in many applications. They are often
used to conceal mechanical equipment with a sightproof, tamper-resistant
barrier that allows ventilation. Decorative grilles are available in standard
models or custom designs to complement any architectural approach.
Sun screens control sunlight while permitting ventilation. They are
available in several styles.
ILI manufactures aluminum and stainless steel column covers for interior
and exterior columns. Many finishes are available.
ILI paints its products at its in-house finishing facility, Industrial
Finishing, Inc.
The finishes below are available for louvers and other metal products.
The range of colors available is too extensive to show here.

The most frequently specified coatings at Industrial Louvers, durable
Kynar-based coatings are the perfect choice for creating a high-quality
image in the finished structure. Kynar coatings are highly resistant to
chalking, abrasion and ultraviolet deterioration. Flexible and color-fast,
a Kynar coating will retain that "just-completed" look for years.
When conditions or color choices require an even more durable coating,
Kynar XL or a barrier coat can be applied.
Many standard, exotic and custom-mixed colors are available. Our Hunter
Lab Colorquest Spectrocolorimeter allows us to match almost any color.
Industrial Louvers, Inc., is an approved applicator of Kynar 500/Hylar
5000 coatings.

Baked enamel provides a long-lasting finish at a cost-effective price.
It can be provided in your choice of a multitude of colors.
Baked enamel is applied after the surface has been cleaned and treated
with a conversion coat to ensure bonding. Because of its durability and
reasonable price, baked enamel is one of the best protective coatings on
the market.
When maximum protection is not required, No. 204 provides an excellent,
clear, anodized finish. The anodizing time is 30 minutes, and the minimum
coating is 0.4 mil.
This clear, anodized finish is recommended for use where maximum protection
from corrosive and abrasive atmospheric conditions is required. Anodizing
time is 60 minutes, and the minimum coating is 0.7 mil.
When maximum protection is required and a large color selection is
not, this hard-coat finish is the best of the anodic finishes. The color
selection includes several shades of gold, burgundy, bronze and black.
The minimum coating is 0.7 mil.

The testing of Industrial Louvers, Inc. acoustical style louvers is
conducted at Riverbank Acoustical Laboratories in Geneva, Illinois. For
more information on acoustical testing, see the screen titled "ILI Acoustical
Louvers."
Industrial Louvers offers the following types of louvers. (Specific
models are described in other profiles.) CSI Specifications for metal louvers
follow the brief descriptions below.
Drainable blade louvers allow very low water penetration with extremely
high free area. They are available in 2", 4" and 6" depths.
These extra performance louvers provide excellent weather protection.
Weather-resistant louvers are an ILI specialty. Storm-resistant louvers
are similar to standard designs, but they contain a center baffle. Some
models are available in galvanized steel, aluminum, stainless steel or
copper.
The steeply angled blades of sightproof louvers provide a visual screen
or security barrier. Four standard models are available, while two extra
performance models offer superior water penetration and free area characteristics.
Acoustical louvers provide sound attenuation and attractive architectural
lines. They are typically deeper than most other types of louvers. Aluminum,
steel or stainless steel can be specified.
Measuring 1-3/8" or 2" deep, thin line louvers are used for thin wall
and curtain wall requirements.
Adjustable louvers offer manual, electrical or pneumatic control of
air flow. ILI offers models in 4" or 6" depths.
Louvered penthouses allow for the most efficient movement of air over
rooftop openings. Brick vents and block vents are available in many sizes
for a variety of applications. Insect screens and bird screens are available
for use with all of ILI's louvers. Blank-offs are available in many variations,
with the most common being a .032" aluminum sheet finished on one side
in baked enamel or Kynar.
