Founded in Bologna, Italy in 1965, FAAC is the world’s largest specialized manufacturer of automated operators for swing, slide and barrier gate systems.

FAAC hydraulic operators meet or exceed strict European safety requirements as well as UL325 and CSA standards in North America. FAAC received ISO-9001 Certification in 1996.

Model 400 Heavy Duty Hydraulic Operator

The Model 400 is FAAC’s “flagship,” specifically designed for situations needing maximum versatility, such as apartment, subdivision, commercial/industrial, and heavy traffic residential applications. Its power and small size also make it ideal for large, ornate gates.

Models 402 & 422 Hydraulic Operators

Designed for residential applications, the 402 and 422 have versions that allow a gate to be set up to provide special options including “gate safe” or “gate secure” configurations.

• Gate Safe: during power outages a magnetic lock releases a closed gate to permit emergency access.
• Gate Secure: during power outages an electric lock keeps a closed gate locked.

The main difference between the two operators is the 402 can hydraulically lock in the opened or closed positions, while the 422 can lock in the opened and/or closed positions.

FAAC packages their operators to be fully UL 325 compliant, right out of the box. Which means there’s no need to purchase additional peripherals.

Model 760 In-Ground Hydraulic Operator

The Model 760 was specifically designed for in-ground installations in residential applications. Because of its power and basic invisibility, the 760 is ideal for large, ornate gates.

Model 885 Continuous Duty Slide Gate Operator

The Model 885 operator is designed for both residential and commercial applications. Advanced solid-state electronics provide versatility and reliability. A removable cover allows for easy access to electronics.

This sophisticated chain driven, I horsepower, 115 VAC operator can handle a 35-foot opening and a maximum gate weight of 1,800 pounds.

Barrier Gate Operators

FAAC offers three models of barriers to handle almost every type of residential and commercial application.

Model 615 Economy Hydraulic Barrier Operator

Designed as an economy operator for light-medium traffic situations at standard width entrances, the 615 can raise beams from 6 ½ to 13 feet (2 – 4 meters) in 3 – 8 seconds. With a 50% duty cycle, the 615 is ideal for certain residential and commercials uses.

Model 620 Express Hydraulic Barrier Operator

The model 620 is designed specifically for traffic control applications that require extremely fast opening and closing times. When used with an aluminum beam of 8 ½ feet or less, the 620 has an opening time of under 2 seconds and a 100% duty cycle.

The 620 can also operate a wooden beam of up to 16 feet in less than 3 seconds.

Model 640 Express Hydraulic Barrier Operator

The model 640 is designed specifically for controlling heavy traffic at wide entrances. Operating continuously, the 640 can raise aluminum beams from 13 to 23 feet long in as little as 4 - 7 seconds.

The 640 operates smoothly and gently due to an adjustable braking system which slows the beam down before the end of travel when opening and closing. A heat sensor monitors the operating temperature, switching on an internal cooling when required.

Accessories

FAAC offers a large selection of access control and safety/security systems and devices. All FAAC swing, slide and barrier gate operators can be ordered with special options and a variety of accessories.

FAAC operators are among the safest available and many of our automated gate systems are packaged and certified as being UL 325 compliant. However, we recommend that the anti-entrapment and security protection provided by all gate operators be improved with photocells, loop detectors, sending edges and/or other similar safety devices.
