Davis Colors Add Life to Concrete

Davis Colors are concentrated color “admixtures” that mix right in to transform ordinary concrete into structures that stand out or pavement that blends in. Davis Colors offers a range of hues that set a new standard for colored concrete. There are bold and intense premium tones, standard colors that add less than a dollar per square foot, and subtle shades for any budget. Now the hardest thing about colored concrete is deciding what color you want.

Concrete is so common that it is assumed to be available in only one color- gray. Integral concrete color by Davis Colors provides architects with an added design tool. Earth tones reduce glare. Red and green hues create bold statements. Colored concrete can be trowel- or form-finished, or special finishes such as pattern stamping or exposed aggregate can be used for more dramatic effects. In addition to cast-in-place and precast concrete, Davis Colors are used in concrete masonry, stucco, plaster, mortar, terrazzo, cast stone, roof tiles, and concrete pavers. Colored concrete unifies buildings, walkways, and landscaping elements. Davis Colors are strong, durable, and last as long as the concrete with little maintenance.

Installation

Contractors install colored concrete the same way as high-quality, uncolored concrete. Installation is easier than dust-on colors, stains, or coatings and takes little or no additional labor. Concrete suppliers use Mix-Ready® disintegrating bags or the Chameleon™ bulk handling system to add color. Mix-Ready® bags disintegrate in the mix, releasing pigments and leaving no bags to throw away. The Chameleon™ is a computerized dosing system that improves color accuracy, availability and handling efficiency.
