PRODUCT PRESENTATION

BEST developed its exclusive Graphic Blast^® engraving process to enable nearly all black and white artwork and copy to be carved into most man-made materials, stone, and wood. It is ideal for tactile and braille signs requiring raised images and can be used to both engrave and raise lettering and braille on the same sign. It allows virtually unlimited graphics and text flexibility.

ADA compliant signage is a natural for BEST because we have been manufacturing tactile and braille signage using the Graphic Blast^® process since 1978.

BEST has practically unlimited manufacturing capability and specializes in manufacturing custom signage that meets nearly any requirement. Our catalog presents examples of custom signage on many types of materials, such as plastics, woods, metals, Corian^®, tile, marble, brick, Avonite^®, glass, mirror, acrylics, vinyl and fiberglass.

For standard signage, BEST recommends engraved melamine plastics (“MP” plastic), especially with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requiring, in many cases, raised (tactile) letters and braille. The legibility, longevity, durability, and overall quality of melamine laminates are far superior to acrylics and photopolymers. Melamine plastics meet virtually all municipal, state and federal fire safety and building codes and are NEMA rated "self-extinguishing".

BEST manufactures signs that meet ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), ANSI (American National Standards Institute) A117.1, HEW (U.S. Dept. of Health, Education and Welfare), OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), VA (Veterans Administration) and MIL-SPEC LP-387a Type NDP.

BEST "MP" plastic is available in 23 colors with the capacity for providing braille, raised (tactile) or engraved copy. BEST "ES" plastic is available in 15 colors, each with its own contrasting core color, for the finest in maintenance-free engraved signs.

"LIFE OF THE BUILDING" LIMITED WARRANTY

BEST warrants all interior "MP" and "ES" plastic sign systems against any defect due to faulty material or workmanship for the "life of the building" in which it is originally installed. This warranty specifically does not cover normal fade, color change or paint-fill. We will repair or replace without charge, providing it has been installed according to our design and installation specifications. Purchaser is responsible for removal and reinstallation costs of said product.

LIMITED ONE-YEAR WARRANTY

BEST's limited one-year warranty covers all signs not covered by the "life of the building" warranty.  This limited warranty covers any defect due to faulty material or workmanship for one year from date of invoice.  We will repair or replace the product without charge, providing it has been installed according to our design and installation specifications.  Purchaser is responsible for removal and reinstallation costs of said product.

FIBERGLASS SIGN LIMITED WARRANTY

BEST warrants its fiberglass signs against any defect due to faulty material or workmanship and legibility for 20 years. This limited warranty specifically does not cover normal fade, color change or paint-fill. We will repair or replace the product without charge, providing it has been designed and installed according to our design and installation specifications. Purchaser is responsible for removal and reinstallation costs of said product.

WARRANTY LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS

None of our warranties cover damage caused by misuse, careless handling, improper installation or where repairs or alterations have been attempted by others. No other guarantees, written or verbal, are authorized by BEST.

BEST assumes no liability, express or implied, for errors, omissions or any damages resulting from interpretation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, its regulations and Accessibility Guidelines. Copy is translated to Grade 2 braille using state of the art computer software.

In order for products to be covered by our limited warranties, the following is required:
1. Signs of "ES" or "MP" plastic over 100 square inches must be of either our Detail A (base construction) or mechanically attached with holes and screws.
2. Changeable message signs with inserts must have 1/2" borders between sign edges and other windows.
3. Raised letter Graphic Blast^® signs to meet ADA and ANSI A117.1 must be made with "MP" plastic and have a 5/8" minimum lettering.
4. Material must have been supplied by BEST.
5. Invoice must be paid within 30 days of delivery of signs.
