HIGH-R develops, markets, and installs innovative wall and ceiling insulation systems that meet the performance, environmental, and budgetary needs of building owners, building managers, architects, and builders for both new and retrofit projects.

Unlike traditional metal building insulation methods in which thin layers of batt insulation or urethane are installed between trusses at the base of the roof decking, HIGH-R® Insulated Ceiling System panels are attached to clips at the base of roof purlins. The cavity above the panels is filled with approved fiberglass blowing wool insulation, giving the ceiling system an insulation value up to R-45.

The HIGH-R Insulated Ceiling and Wall System includes everything needed for a complete wall or ceiling installation. The components include:

  • Approved fiberglass blowing wool
  • White-faced or colored polyisocyanurate insulation panels
  • Flex-Tite trim package
  • Insulation Blower that ensures proper insulation density
  • Purlin clips that attach the insulation panels
The Flex-Tite trim package creates a seal that becomes the vapor barrier. Complete cavity fill prevents condensation. It even can stand up to regular power washing. The panels' light-reflective finish offers additional energy savings by reducing requirements for artificial lighting.

The combination of the tight seal and high R values produces an insulation system that often pays for itself within months of installation by lowering the energy requirements for metal buildings. The energy savings offers building developers a competitive advantage because they can assure buyers or tenants that they can count on low building operating expenses.

Metal building contractors also benefit because the system is installed after the roof decking, eliminating weather delays common with typical metal building insulating methods.

The exposed surface of the HIGH-R insulating panels is FDA approved for use in food processing facilities. The HIGH-R Insulated Ceiling and Wall System is also on the GSA schedule for use in government buildings and may qualify for energy efficiency tax credits. It also can be retrofitted to most existing metal buildings.
