YKK AP is concerned about our environment and is continuously developing new systems to meet the LEED requirements of the US Green Building Council. YKK AP’s ThermaShade™ system is designed to improve tenant comfort and lower energy consumption by decreasing solar heat gain. When integrated with YKK AP’s Curtain Wall Systems, our thermally broken anchor ensures that the thermal performance of the framing system is not compromised. It is the first Cradle to Cradle CertifiedSM Sunshade system in the industry, and offers a wide spectrum of design options. ThermaShades are available in both anodized and all YKK AP standard or premium paint colors.
