DuraSound — Acoustically Rated Folding Partitions
DuraSound™ is a two-track, accordion-style folding partition that is
acoustically rated. Compared to common single track, pantograph-style doors,
DuraSound partitions provide superior insulation, durability, and ease of maintenance,
while being elegant and dividing space just as effectively. Won-Door’s
unique design allows DuraSound partitions to span curved openings as well as
virtually unlimited heights and widths.
Durability
Each 24 gauge steel panel in a Won-Door is corrugated for extra strength. Surface
colors and vinyl finishes are permanently bonded to resist dings, dents, and
scratches. Won-Door partitions operate on a patented two-track system with no
internal parts to damage. The dead-air space between the two walls creates an
effective sound barrier as well as a cushion against even the most severe blows.
A Won-Door door can withstand a tremendous amount of abuse without showing a
mark or scratch. Won-Door’s partitions are available in a wide variety
of colors and simulated wood-grain finishes.
Smooth, Effortless Operation
Weighing only 4.2 pounds per square foot, the dual-wall DuraSound partition
is lighter than other partitions. Because a pin and roller suspend every panel,
distributing weight evenly, operation is smooth and virtually effortless. Most
competitive products us a pin and roller every four panel, causing flex and
binding during operation.
Easily Installation and Repair
Won-Door partitions can be installed by trained personnel using simple tools,
with no special equipment. With simple tools and no training, in-house maintenance
people can quickly repair damaged parts by simply removing and replacing any
single panel, hinge or roller while the door remains in place. Won-Door partitions
are the only system that allow “in-place” repair. A repair section
of track is provided to insure that panel sections can be removed and replaced
without disturbing the rest of the partition.
Greatest Cost Effectiveness
The cost of any partition is not the purchase price, but the total cost over
its effective lifetime. Won-Door partitions outperform and outlast other folding
doors, while costing the same or even less. DuraSound™ and DuraFlex™
products perform multiple functions, cost less to install and maintain, and
last years longer than any other folding partition.
DuraSound XL
When a more substantial door is required, DuraSound XL is the answer. With
10-inch-wide panels (vs 4.5-inch-wide for DuraSound) and a heavy duty suspension
system, this product is a viable alternative to large operable walls (flat surfaced
panels.)
DuraFlex
DuraFlex™ provides only a visual barrier with no acoustical rating.
It is installed on a single track and is available in a wide variety of colors
and simulated wood-grain finishes.
