Series single and double hung and fixed windows exceed performance specifications
set forth in ANSI/AAMA/NWWDA 101/I.S.2-97 for Architectural Windows – AW
and Heavy Commercial – HC.
The frame material is constructed from .063” nominal wall thickness
of 6063-T6 aluminum alloy and temper with a depth of 4”. The sill has
.090 nominal wall thickness and is extruded from the same aluminum billet.
It features a standard equal leg frame. All joinery of frame members is closely
fit and mechanically fastened with screws. Heliarc welded frame corners are
optional. All frame joinery is sealed with small joint sealant.
All operating ventilators is no less than .080 nominal wall thickness of
6063-T6 aluminum alloy and temper with a depth of 1-11/16”. Vent
corners are machined and assembled by means of mechanical fastening with
screws. All vent joinery is sealed with small joint sealant. Vents have one
row of heavy fin seal wool pile weather-stripping and one row of rigid vinyl.
Windows are interior glazed with extruded aluminum, snap-in glazing bead.
All extruded glazing bead to have a minimum depth of 3/4”. Glazing
of 1/4” to 1” can be utilized, with maximum glass thickness up
to 1” and maximum panel thickness up to 1”. Winco strongly
recommends that the windows be factory glazed for proper and safe operation.
Screen frames are fabricated from extruded 6063-T6 aluminum alloy and temper.
Aluminum screen wire produced from 5154 alloy in .011 diameter with mesh
18 x 16 is standard. Charcoal Anodized and Brite Kote Aluminum are standard
colors. Mesh is installed so the cloth can be easily replaced with a roll-in
spline. Suitable hardware is furnished to mount on the window unit. Optional: Fiberglass
or stainless steel with .009 diameter wire.
Standard operating hardware consists of aluminum extruded spring loaded snap
lock at the sill. Optional: Solid white bronze sweep lock with
US25D brushed finish at sash interlock and or solid white bronze snap lock with
US25D brushed finish. All operating sash balances are block and tackle
type meeting the minimum Class 1 requirement and tested in accordance with AAMA
902. Optional: All operating sash balances are spiral type
meeting the minimum class 5 requirement and tested in accordance with AAMA 902.
Winco Window Co. recommends that sash weighing 45 lbs. or more be furnished
with class 5 balances.
