Non-Thermally Improved Windows

PERFORMANCE

Series fixed and projected exceed the performance specifications set forth in ANSI/AAMA/NWWDA 101/I.S.2-97 for Architectural Windows – AW and Heavy Commercial –HC.

MAIN FRAME CONSTRUCTION

The frame material is constructed from 0.062/0.090/0.125” nominal wall thickness of 6063-T6 aluminum alloy and temper with a depths of 2”/3-1/2”/4”/4-1/2”. It features a standard equal leg some with unequal leg frame. Optional: Long unequal leg frame on some. All joinery of frame members is closely fit and mechanically fastened with screws. Optional: Heliarc welded frame corners are optional. All frame joinery is sealed with small joint sealant.

VENT FRAME CONSTRUCTION

All operating ventilators consist of a tubular member with .125” nominal wall thickness of 6063-T6 aluminum alloy and temper with a depth of 2”/3-1/2”. Vent corners are mitered and assembled by means of mechanical fastening with screws. All vent joinery is sealed with small joint sealant. Operating ventilators have a double Santoprene®, non-shrinking dual durometer, thermo plastic rubber weather-stripping around perimeter. Optional: Heliarc welding of sash corners and/or double corner keys and hydraulically swedged.

GLAZING

Windows are interior or exterior glazed with extruded aluminum, snap-in glazing bead. All extruded glazing bead has a minimum depth of 3/4”. Glazing of 1/4” to 1” in most systems, with maximum glass thickness up to 1” in some systems and maximum panel thickness up to 1-1/2” in some systems.

SCREEN

Screen frames are fabricated from extruded 6063-T6 aluminum alloy and temper. Aluminum screen wire produced from 5154 alloy in .011 diameter with mesh 18 x 16 is standard. Charcoal Alodized and Brite Kote Aluminum are standard colors. Mesh is installed so the cloth can be easily replaced with a roll-in spline. Suitable hardware is furnished to mount on the window unit. Optional: Fiberglass or stainless steel with .009 diameter wire.

HARDWARE

All exposed locking hardware, strikes and keepers are solid white bronze alloy with US25D brushed finish. All four bar arms, four bar casement arms, friction adjustable H.O.A., and key release limit arms consist of stainless steel conforming to AAMA 904.1. Optional: Zinc die-cast with painted finish and or zinc plated steel arms. Projected Windows are furnished with cam locks and four bar arms. Optional: Pole ring cam lock, pole ring snap lock, key lock, under screen push bar, pivot shoe roto-operator, casement lock, pull handle. Drop Head In Swing Windows are furnished with key locks hold open arms, and four bar arms. Optional: Cam lock, pole ring cam lock, casement lock, pull handle.
