The frame is milled from kiln-dried wood and pre-treated with a non-toxic preservative that repels insects and prevents warping and rotting.
Strong one-piece wood jamb extensions up to 12" in overall jamb depth are factory-applied with no visible fasteners such as staples, brads or tacks that are found on multi-piece jambs used by other manufacturers.

Fusion-welded exterior frame corners provide improved strength, structural stability and better resistance to water and air infiltration. Mitered corners offer a more sophisticated look than vinyl window exteriors that feature square-offs and corner cuts.
Built-in accessory channels on the exterior allow you to conveniently apply ProShield's snap-in exterior finishing accessories such as mull covers, J-channel and brick mould with integral J-channel.
A standard Warm Edge spacer system between the insulating panes of glass improves the window's thermal performance.
Standard double-strength glass offers improved structural integrity. Glazing options include Insul Low E2 with Argon/Krypton gases, Insul Low E2 with Argon gas, Insul Low E2 or Insul. Specialty glass options include Tempered, Gray, Bronze and Obscure.
