A hidden tie-bar behind the jamb connects the locks and allows them to operate simultaneously from the bottom sash lock handle.
Two zinc-coated metal sash locks (on casement windows equal or greater than 44" tall) secure the units at the top and bottom. Each lock is profiled to match the contours of the window jamb.
The standard, all-metal "nested" operator handle features a cam-action hinge that locks the handle into place when the window is being opened or closed. Optional ADA handle is also available.

Mortise and tenon sash corners on wood window sash offer furniture-grade strength and durability. Structural corner keys with injected silicone reinforce frame corners to improve durability and resistance to air and water infiltration.
Exteriors feature all-wood or low-maintenance, heavy-duty extruded aluminum cladding that resists denting, dimpling, fading and chalking far better than thinner roll-formed aluminum exteriors found on many other brands of windows. Plus, a rigid integral nailing fin provides greater structural stability and easier installation.
The frame and sash are milled from kiln-dried wood and pre-treated with a non-toxic preservative that repels insects and prevents warping and rotting.
Standard double-strength glass offers improved structural integrity. Glazing options include Insul Low E2 with Argon/Krypton gases, Insul Low E2 with Argon gas, Insul Low E2 or Insul. Specialty glass options include Tempered, Gray, Bronze and Obscure.
