LifeGuard® Casement windows offer sash that swing open from one side and feature impact-resistant glazing that helps prevent flying debris from entering your home during violent weather. These aluminum-clad wood windows offer practically any style of coastal home both protection and beauty that cumbersome shutter systems just can't match.
Weather Shield's exclusive Custom Wood Interiors Collection® offers eight wood species that allow you to match the fine cabinetry, furniture, floor and trim within one room or throughout your home.
Complement the style of your home or add your own distinctive look with optional Simulated Divided Lite (SDL) or removable perimeter grilles in an array of patterns and profiles, including rectangular, specialty and custom grilles.
In addition to the standard operator handle, optional round, folding, "T" and ADA operator handle styles are available. The standard hardware finish is Goldtone. Other finishes are optionally available as well.
A concealed hinged arm operator on operating casement units provides smooth operation. Seacoast corrosion-resistant operator arms and stainless steel slides are offered as an option.
Uniform profiles between head and side jambs improve overall sightlines.
The weather stripping features a foam-filled center that creates an airtight seal on all sides.
With 55 standard and designer colors, plus virtually any custom color under the sun, Weather Shield's exclusive Accentials™ Distinctive Colors & Finishes program makes it easy to add a personal touch to the windows and doors of your home. Or, you can select from eight anodized aluminum exterior finishes that provide a durable, sleek appearance.
DP +60/-85 PSF for operating casement units in sizes through 24" x 44" glass size. DP +60/-75 PSF for operating casements in sizes through 28" x 68" glass size. DP +60/-75 PSF for eyebrow casements in sizes through 24" x 68" glass size.
Thick wood window frames are protected by a virtually maintenance-free, heavy-duty extruded aluminum-clad exterior that resists denting, dimpling, fading and chalking far better than thinner roll-formed aluminum exteriors found on many other brands of windows. Plus, a rigid integral nailing fin provides greater structural stability and makes installation easier.
A heavy-duty .090" gauge polyvinyl butyral (PVB) laminated interlayer is bonded between two panes of annealed or heat-strengthened glass. This impact-resistant lite on the interior side of the window helps prevent flying debris from entering the home during high windstorms.
