VETROTECH Fire Rated Glass Selection Options

Product Range
Vetrotech Saint-Gobain fire rated glass products are based on diverse technologies and manufacturing processes capable of satisfying a broad spectrum of applications. Our products make use of a wide range of specialized glass substrates, interlayer technologies and manufacturing processes to match the level of fire hazard with the appropriate degree of fire resistant performance.
This results in more responsive and cost effective engineered solutions – that is the Vetrotech difference!

Please see the attached Product Selection Guide for a comparison of performance and applications.

SGG PYROSWISS®
Optically clear, tempered and wireless for use in high-impact safety rated locations such as doors and sidelites. Easy installation, high-impact strength, superior optics and economical. The perfect choice for 20 minute rated applications.

SGG KERALITE FR®
Glass-ceramic glazing material for use in fire rated door, window, transom and sidelite assemblies. Given its “near zero” thermal expansion coefficient, SGG KERALITE FR® is able to withstand continuous temperatures up to 1292 F as well as withstand thermal shock resulting from the Hose Stream Test. SGG KERALITE FR® is available with a clear surface applied film or in a laminated version for use in hazardous locations. 5 mm thick – monolithic glazing. Available in High Impact Safety (CPSC CAT II) versions KERALITE FR-F, KERALITE FR-L & KERALITE FR-ULTRA

SGG SWISSFLAM®
Comprised of two or more layers of laminated safety glass separated by clear, colorless intumescent interlayers. In case of fire, the interlayers absorb the energy from the fire, limiting the temperature rise to the non-fire side, protecting people and property. Benefits include safety-glazing characteristics, high performance sound reduction properties and improved U-values.

SGG CONTRAFLAM®
Multi-laminated and fully insulating fire resisting glass produced from two or more panes of tempered safety glass, separated by clear, colorless advanced intumescent interlayers. In case of fire, the interlayers absorb the energy from the fire, limiting the temperature rise to the non-fire side, protecting people and property.
