Installation
SGG KERALITE products should be installed only into listed fire-rated door and frame assemblies using suitable setting blocks and closed cell PVC tape, pure silicone, or ceramic glazing tape. Allow for minimum edge coverage of 3/8".

Check that opening is plumb and square. Inspect carefully before installation; do not install glass that has visible edge or surface damage. Place setting blocks (3" min) at sill, located at approximate quarter points. Check perimeter clearance and adjust setting blocks as needed. Do not block the lite so as to restrict movement due to thermal expansion; direct glass-to-perimeter frame contact should be strictly avoided.

SGG KERALITE is an engineered specialty fire-resistant glazing material. Certain optical and visual imperfections are inherent in the production process. These characteristics may be evaluated according to the manufacturer’s quality standards but do not impair the transparency or affect the performance of the glass in case of fire, and shall not be considered cause for rejection.

Labeling
Each lite of SGG KERALITE FR-ULTRA will be permanently labeled, in accordance with NFPA 80, with the product and manufacturers name, testing laboratory, fire rating and safety rating.

NOTE: Glass-ceramics do not act as a barrier to radiant or conducted heat transfer (ASTM E-119/UL 263) and as such, use in openings with fire ratings of 60 minute or greater may require approval for the local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). Please consult with a Vetrotech Saint-Gobain specialist prior to specifying or purchasing products.
