FyreWrap® Elite 1.5 Grease Duct Insulation

FyreWrap® Elite 1.5 Duct Insulation is a high temperature blanket system specifically designed to provide a one and two hour fire rated enclosure for kitchen exhaust (grease) ducts. This flexible fire protection duct wrap meets the requirements defined by the International Mechanical Code (IMC), Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC), and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA 96), and is an alternative traditional fire-rated shaftwall enclosure around ducts.

FyreWrap Elite 1.5 - Grease Duct ASTM E2336 System complies with the 2006 and 2009 editions of IMC Code and UMC and is tested per ASTM E2336 (AC101) and provides 1 and 2-hour fire protection in a two-layer system. It also offers zero clearance to combustibles at all locations and space and weight savings over shaft wall enclosures.

FyreWrap® Elite® 1.5 Duct Insulation – Grease Duct ASTM E 2336 System

Introduction
Unifrax’s FyreWrap® Elite® 1.5 Duct Insulation is a two-layer flexible enclosure for one- and two-hour rated commercial kitchen grease ducts. FyreWrap Elite 1.5 Duct Insulation is tested per ASTM E 2336 and is acceptable as an alternate to a traditional fire-rated shaft. Installed as a two-layer system, FyreWrap Elite 1.5 complies with AC101 and the 2006 and 2009 Editions of the International Mechanical Code (IMC) and Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC). FyreWrap Elite 1.5 Duct Insulation offers the following product features:

  • 2-hour fire-resistance rating
  • Alternate to shaft enclosure
