Pass-through chambers allow contamination-free transfer of materials into and out of a cleanroom or laboratory. Terra's CleanSeam™ Pass Throughs feature ultra-clean design features that make them suitable for applications requiring frequent cleaning and sterilization, including Biological Safely Laboratories (BSLs).
Made of 304/316 stainless steel, they feature radius corners and continuous-seam, smooth-ground welds that eliminate internal cracks and crevices that can harbor germs and other contaminants. These ultra-smooth surfaces are easy to clean with sterilizing agents, including isopropyl alcohol and hydrogen peroxide.
All hardware is selected for optimal cleanliness and surface smoothness. Optional interlocks are externally mounted in a smooth stainless steel housing to eliminate hard-to-clean surfaces.
304 or 316 stainless steel (electropolishing available) with static-dissipative PVC viewing windows; 304/316 stainless steel latches (keyed latches available as optional equipment).
Standard sizes range from 12"W × 12"D × 12"H to 36"W × 36"D × 48"H. Custom sizing is available.
These high-reliability mechanisms prevent the possibility of cross-contamination and are rated for millions of operations. Interlocks are externally mounted and add to the wall cut-out dimensions (cut-out dimensions at www.TerraUniversal.com).
— Feature high-speed air nozzles that wash parts with HEPA-filtered air to remove particles before transfer into the cleanroom. A timer locks door operation for a programmable period while the air shower is in operation.
— Both active modules (including ventilation fan) and passive modules (for connection to existing exhaust duct) are available. Inlet HEPA filter removes sub-micron particles; exit HEPA and charcoal filters are available.
