These Air Showers offer an effective way to decontaminate personnel before they enter a cleanroom or laboratory.
Each unit is a fully equipped, protected passageway that accommodates personnel and large equipment. Nozzles are arranged on walls and ceilings in a uniform pattern to ensure uniform distribution of HEPA-filtered air at high volume (between 6,000 and 8,000 feet per minute). This continuous stream of air dislodges surface particles, which settle on the floor of the enclosure. An optional ceiling HEPA filter/fan module hastens this downward flow by directing a laminar flow of filtered air downward through the enclosure at an average speed of 90 feet/minute. Both the ceiling and nozzles filters are rated 99.99% efficient at removing particles down to 0.3 microns in diameter.
Airflow through the nozzles and optional ceiling filter/fan unit is initiated when an access door opens. The system's PLC touchpad control panel allows programming of the shower cycle time, allowing you to require particle decontamination for a set time before the opposing access door can be opened.
This control panel also controls operation of the internal light, emergency door release, and audible alarm (activated when the emergency door button is pressed). A membrane keypad allows a user to turn the system on and off (with a 4-digit code), to access the system set-up mode, and to program such information as the system clock, cycle time, access door delay, time lock feature, and single-direction access code. These capabilities let you program as much security into your system as you require.
Models are available in powder-coated CR steel, stainless steel, or particle board in many standard sizes. Adjustable nozzles are 4"-diameter PVC. Access doors are made of anodized aluminum with tempered glass windows (stainless steel doors can be specified on a custom basis).
