TRACO History - A Commitment to Excellence

The commitment to quality began in 1943, when the company was founded as Three Rivers Aluminum Company by Mae and E.R. Randall. The Pittsburgh-based company started out as a home improvement company and supplier of building materials for the home improvement industry. The 1936 flood in the Pittsburgh area had left thousands of homes in disrepair with extensive water damage. The depression and war left many families unable to build a new home. Out of these hardships grew an opportunity for the small company.

For the next several decades the company continued to grow and in the 1980s a new trademark, TRACO, was adopted. TRACO's growth, capabilities, and experience were clearly recognized, as evidenced by the awarding and completion of two national historic landmark projects: in 1986, the Statue of Liberty, and in 1994, the Empire State Building.

Over the years TRACO's success and growth has been built on the strong foundation of teamwork. TRACO Team Members are involved in each step of the development and production process and work together to ensure continued profitability and growth for the company. Through this team approach, TRACO is better able to make certain that manufacturing continually meets the highest quality standards. Each and every product consistently achieves fair market value through carefully controlled costs. Customer satisfaction is met by developing, producing, selling, and distributing window and door products that meet and exceed customer expectations.
