The strength and integrity of Structures Unlimited skyroof systems have been proven in thousands of installations worldwide in every climate. From Canadian snowstorms to Caribbean hurricanes, each application is designed to meet or exceed all local snow and wind load requirements. In addition, the Kalwall panel system passes the Class A Burning Brand Test per ASTM E-108 and Fall-Through Protection per ASTM 661.

Aluminum box beams provide the basis for Structures Unlimited's clearspan skyroof systems. Each box beam is manufactured to rigorous standards from 6061-T6 and/or 6005-T5 aluminum alloys. Internally gusseted beams are placed approximately 8' on center. Spans up to and exceeding 100' are possible. All fabrication and finishings are performed in ideal factory conditions prior to shipment to the job site in their own trucks.

Roof styles can be center ridge with gable or hip ends, segmented hip, shed, sawtooth, triangular, pyramid or offset ridge. Even segmented arches and domes are available.

Motorized roof panels can be added as an option to allow up to 40% of the roof to open, allowing for ventilation and an open-air feeling – a truly convertible, year-round structure. The roof opening is screened to keep out bugs, leaves, twigs and other debris.,/p>

Gable ends can consist of Kalwall panels similar to the roof or can incorporate glass. Conventional construction such as masonry or other materials can also be utilized. The entire Structures Unlimited system is compatible with common building components and materials.

Corrosion-resistant finishes are factory-applied to all exposed aluminum surfaces. High-performance architectural coatings are available in a variety of standard and custom colors.

Low maintenance is key to a Structures Unlimited system. All components are designed to eliminate maintenance and upkeep. Rain literally cleans the outside surfaces and the super smooth face sheets resist dirt and pollution build-up. This puts an end to the unsightly streaked, smudged and dirty skylights commonly witnessed with glass and other clear roof materials. Structures Unlimited's translucent Kalwall Systems virtually never need washing to remove unsightly exterior build-up of leaves and bird debris.

Low life-cycle cost is important to any building owner. Strict quality control of materials, manufacturing and erection (combined with the unique inherent performance features of the system) assures the lowest possible total cost over the life of the building.
