Sto Insulated Wall Claddings are five-component exterior insulation and finish systems consisting of adhesive, insulation board, base coat, reinforcing mesh and finish coat. These components, when properly integrated with other components of construction, form a barrier wall which is intended to resist water penetration at its outer surface. A barrier wall is not designed to drain or eliminate moisture behind it. The accumulation of moisture behind Sto Insulated Wall Claddings could result in building damage. As with any wall cladding, proper detailing and integration with other components of construction by a qualified design or construction professional, including the proper use of flashing, to prevent the accumulation of moisture within the wall assembly, are essential. For situations requiring redundant moisture protection, Sto offers Sto NExT Insulated Wall Claddings.
