SpecCentre® Services is an independent organization developed specifically to support Architects, Owners, and Engineers with preparation of construction documents for both new construction and retrofit projects. Our staff of Architectural Hardware Consultants (AHC), Application Engineers and security experts specialize in preparing construction documents for mechanical access systems, automatic entrances, and security systems. Services include specification writing, section coordination, shop drawing and submittal review, and continuing education (AIA/CES).
From design through construction administration we’re equipped to provide the support to accurately and effectively assist you with the management of your hardware, automatic entrance and security projects.

SpecCentre® Services, located in Centennial, CO, was introduced to the security industry in 1995 by Best Lock Corporation (now Stanley - Best Access Systems). Its intent was to establish architectural services to support specification writing of Section 08710 for Architects and Owners. The goal then, as it is now, is to be the preferred choice of Architects and Owners for security consulting and specification services. Since Best Access Systems was acquired by The Stanley Works in 2002, the SpecCentre® has been growing its capabilities and services. It has expanded its staff of Architectural Hardware Consultants (AHCs), Certified Document Technologists (CDTs) and, through the creation of the Stanley Security Solutions group, has added many additional experts to provide support for your security solution.
SpecCentre® Services and Stanley Security Solutions aid you from project review to system design and product fulfillment. Beyond our extensive specification writing capability, the SpecCentre® Services now offers electrical and security coordination, and mechanical and electronic product configuration and solutions. The SpecCentre® Services is equipped to provide specification writing that accurately and effectively translates your security, door opening, and electronic project needs into Construction Specification Institute’s III – Part Format.
SpecCentre® Services also develops accredited continuing education courses (AIA/CES) delivered by Stanley Security Solutions certified staff at your facility.
Although the SpecCentre® Services is an entity owned by Stanley Security Solutions, Inc., it has maintained its independence from the rest of the divisional Product Groups. The SpecCentre® Services will specify any manufacturer’s product, not just Stanley® products, so you can use our service without being tied to only Stanley® product.

Using CSI’s Manual of Practice we will prepare customized specifications based on your project’s requirements. These specifications will be provided to you in a project specification manual that includes the specifications, product literature, and drawings and details where applicable.
