Versa-Cornice

The Versa Cornice System is a series of cornice profiles which are adaptable to both new and existing coping products. No matter if your coping is a manufactured snap-on system or shop built, these unique profiles will fit it and accent your parapets easily and economically.

Versa Cornice uses heavy duty mounting brackets which are fastened to the parapet with screws through the vertical face of the parapet coping and wood substrates. A 3/8" hole should be drilled in the coping face at the bracket’s screw location to allow for thermal movement. A high grade sealant should also be applied to waterproof the coping.

The cornice profile is hooked onto the bracket and locked in position with a flashing trim which is riveted to the bracket. Joint treatment for both the cornice and flashing trim is a concealed splice plate and a 3/8" reveal joint.

Features

All aluminum cornice shapes are precision crafted in our plant using special built radius dies on a CNC Press – they are not roll formed which means they are uniform from end to end, piece to piece. Joint treatment consist of a concealed splice with a 3/8" expansion reveal.

Styles

Four styles available:

  • Style LZ2
  • Style ICT
  • Style OCT
  • Style Roman

A. VERSA CORNICE FLASHING TRIM Flashing trim is manufactured from 0.040” mill finish aluminum in 10’ lengths. Joint treatment is a concealed splice plate. The Flashing Trim is hooked into the cornice’s hemmed edge and riveted to the heavy duty mounting brackets. Sealant should be applied to the existing coping edge and the flashing trim.
CORNICE TRIMS This illustration shows our OCT & ICB cornice profiles. Any combination of trims may be used with the
Versa Cornice application.
B. OCT CORNICE TRIM Cornice trim is manufactured in 10’ lengths. Joint treatment consist of a 3/8” expansion reveal with a 6” wide concealed splice plate.
C. ICB CORNICE TRIM Cornice trim is manufactured in 10’ lengths. Joint treatment consist of a 3/8” expansion reveal with a 6” wide concealed splice plate. Installer should align joints with mating cornice trims.
D. HEAVY DUTY MOUNTING BRACKET Brackets are manufactured from 1” x .125” aluminum (welded construction).
Brackets are fastened to the parapet with screws through the vertical face of the parapet coping and wood substrates. A
3/8” hole should be drilled into the coping face at the bracket’s fastening location to allow for thermal movement.
