Architectural Gravel Stops and Copings

Our “Press-Loc Series” copings and gravel stops have long been popular with both architects and contractors due to their simple but “high performance” design. These products are designed to accommodate virtually all roofing membranes and carry some of the highest Factory Mutual ratings available in the industry.

Press-Loc^® Gravel Stop

The most universal snap-on gravel stop available…
Press-Loc is designed to accommodate the rigid performance criteria of today’s advance roofing systems. It doesn’t matter if your roof membrane is E.P.D.M., Thermoplastic, Modified Bitumen, or a Built-Up Roof, Press-Loc fits them all.

Press-Loc Accommodates any membrane by encapsulation… Press-Loc allows you to install your metal edging to be flashed in accordance with your membrane manufacturer’s specifications. The Secure Bar profile fully encapsulates your membrane ensuring a watertight and leak proof edge. And, if you’re using a raised tapered roof edge and minimal leakage is not a problem, simply omit your metal edging… it’s your choice.

Easy Installation…
Press-Loc’s unique and simple design makes installation fast and economical, while giving you a leak-proof gravel stop edge that is extremely resistant to wind uplift. Simply fasten Press-Loc’s secure bar to your roof’s edge (screws provided), place tension clips at 24", and snap on Press-Loc’s fascia… it’s that simple.

Press-Loc^® Gravel Stop is available in 56 EZ Mix Kynar 500 colors and the following aluminum thicknesses;

• 0.040" (default)
• 0.050"
• 0.063"
• 0.080"
• 0.090"

Introduced in 1980, Press-Loc^® Coping has been installed throughout the United States. 30 years later, we are proud to report that our time tested coping has never failed for any reason, from the product’s finish to its holding power under extreme wind conditions. Press-Loc^® Coping provides an unblemished record of durability.

Press-Loc^® Coping is a popular choice for both architects and contractors alike. Its’ concealed compression cleats eliminates exposed fasteners and makes installation fast and easy.

Radius Application

Press-Loc^® Coping can be manufactured in a radius. A field template of the radius is required.

Radius coping work is a time consuming and expensive undertaking. As such, we always ship a sample template for field fit verification before proceeding with production. Most times, the template is returned so it can be finished and shipped with the final radius order.

• Snap-on decorative aluminum coping, 10' lengths. Joint treatment consists of a 3/8" expansion reveal, 6" wide concealed splice plate and gaskets.
• Gasket strips, field applied to full width and both sides of concealed splice plate.
• Concealed splice plate, 0.050" aluminum. When installed with gaskets, splice plate diverts water to roof side.
• Compression Cleats, 16 gauge galvanized steel.
• Stainless steel spring cleats factory welded to compression cleats.
