Non-slip perforated plate combines the flow through advantages of grating and the solid surface of plate. It can be used on its own or can be easily retrofitted over existing grating to create a slip resistant surface with drainage benefits. Perforated plate flexes when walked upon, thus helping prevent worker fatigue. Industries such as commercial, manufacturing, transportation and wastewater treatment ensure safe conditions by using SlipNOT® perforated plate. Some applications of perforated plate are bicycle paths, drainage areas, machine operator platforms, maintenance areas, stair landings, work stations and many others.

- Steel SlipNOT® on Aluminum
- Steel SlipNOT® on Steel
- Surface Grades (Coarseness):
- Grade 1 (Fine) – surface has an average depth of 0.010" – 0.012"
- Grade 2 (Medium) – surface has an average depth of 0.020" – 0.025"
- Grade 3 (Coarse) [available in Steel SlipNOT® surface only] – surface has an average depth of 0.030" – 0.035"
*Note, the SlipNOT® surface is a random stacked-hatch matrix covering 100% of the substrate surface. Surface depths shown are approximate and vary throughout the area of application.
- Substrate Alloys: (specialty alloys may be available upon request)
- Steel – A-36 (standard), CQ (commercial quality)
- Aluminum – 5052, 3003H14, tempers as available from mill
- Stainless Steel – 304, 316
- Available Finishes:
- Mill (no additional surface finish applied)
- Painted – All SlipNOT® products may be painted to meet project requirements. Please refer to SlipNOT® painting guidelines to prevent degradation of the slip resistance of the surface. For steel products, SlipNOT® offers a water-based paint applied to SlipNOT® side only. This water-based paint will not provide corrosion protection and is intended for indoor industrial use. Standard color is black. Also available in Gray or Safety Yellow for additional charge. For exterior industrial use, material can be primed or painted or hot dipped galvanized
- Galvanized – Hot dipped galvanized finish (A-123). Silvery-zinc color available for Steel SlipNOT® on Steel substrates only
- Clear Anodized – Clear / transparent anodized surface offers additional corrosion protection. Available for Aluminum SlipNOT® on Aluminum substrates only
- Care of SlipNOT® Products: Due to the coarseness of the SlipNOT® surface, perforated plates cannot be mopped. Surfaces are best cleaned by power-washing. Accumulated debris can generally be easily removed with a stiff bristle brush. Please see SlipNOT®'s Care and Cleaning Guidelines for additional information
- Field Fabrication: SlipNOT® is an all metal surface applied to a metal substrate and it may be treated as any other metal plate. Perforated plates may be welded, either directly to the surface or from the opposite side or cut as required. It is recommended that perforated plates be torched, water-jet, laser or plasma-cut. While the surface may be sheared, it will quickly dull shear blades. Also, because of the file-hard surface, it is recommended that any forming be performed prior to the SlipNOT® surface application. Please contact a SlipNOT® representative for more information regarding fabrication of SlipNOT® material
- SlipNOT® Specifications and Advantages: SlipNOT® exceeds all standards and recommendations for surface coefficient of friction as specified by ADA, ASTM, ANSI, NFPA and OSHA guidelines or regulations. SlipNOT®'s coefficient of friction is greater than or equal to 0.85. All SlipNOT® products are registered by NSF International for use in food processing facilities. SlipNOT® meets and exceeds federal, state and municipal guidelines for minimum slip-resistance standards. Please contact a SlipNOT® representative for additional information regarding regulations and standards
The SlipNOT® surface is a molten metal plasma stream deposition which bonds directly to a metal substrate. The surface to substrate has a file hard surface between 55 – 63 on the Rockwell "C" scale (for Steel and Stainless Steel SlipNOT®) and has a bond strength of at least 4,000 psi (2,000 psi for Aluminum SlipNOT®.) This combination of extremely high bond strength and surface hardness makes SlipNOT® the most durable, longest-lasting anti-slip surface available.
- Note: Perforation removes about 2/3 of the strength from the plate. Additional supports may be required
