Grip Grate®:
Municipalities, gas and oil companies, utilities, the military, industrial facilities and many other industries minimize slip and fall liabilities by using SlipNOT® Grip Grate®.  Typical applications of grates are: ADA ramps, bridge decking, sidewalk grating, worker platforms, stair treads and many others.

General Information:

  • Available stock width: 24" or 36"
  • Available stock length: 240" or 288"
  • Available in light duty and heavy duty.
  • Available grating spacing:
    • ADA: 7-2, 7-4, 11-2, 11-4
    • Standard industrial: 15-2, 15-4, 19-2, 19-4
    • Others available please inquire.
  • Customized shapes and sizes can be fabricated to meet job specifications.
  • Available trim or load bonded.
  • Standard tolerance: mill, or + or – ¼"
  • Slip Resistant Standards: Grating exceed all requirements for coefficient of friction specified by ANSI, ASTM, ADA, NFPA, and OSHA.  SlipNOT®’s coefficient of friction is greater than or equal to .85.
  • Fabrication: Can be purchased in stock panels or fabricated to meet the project specifications.
  • Other options: Also offered in plate over grating, or perforated plate over grating options.  Existing grating can also be coated with our SlipNOT® surface.
  • Availability: Grating is available in many different styles, and spacing options to meet a variety of needs and applications.

Steel Grating:
    Product Information:

  • Available in: Grade 1 (Fine), Grade 2 (Med.) or Grade 3 (Coarse)
  • Available in welded, press-locked, swaged lock or flush mount construction.
    Product Features:
  • Advantages: SlipNOT® Steel grating has an unmatched surface hardness, a long life, and a lower cost.
  • Durability: Grating coated with SlipNOT® has a file hard surface of over 55 Rc with a bond strength of over 4000 psi.
  • Finishes: Grates can be ordered in mill finish, painted black, gray, or safety yellow, or can be hot dipped galvanized.

Aluminum Grating:

    Product Information:
  • Available SlipNOT® surface: Aluminum, Stainless Steel, Steel
  • Available in Grade 1 (Fine), Grade 2 (Med.), (Grade 3 Coarse, only offered on Steel SlipNOT® surface).
  • Available in press-locked, swaged lock or flush mount construction.
  • Available Alloy: 6063 T6 Aluminum
    Product Features:
  • Advantages: SlipNOT® Aluminum grating is lightweight, durable, and does not rust.
  • Durability: Grating coated with SlipNOT® has a bond strength of 2000 psi.
  • Finishes: Grates can be ordered in mill finish or painted.

 



Stainless Steel Grating:

  • Available SlipNOT® surface:  Stainless Steel
  • Available in Grade 1 (Fine), Grade 2 (Med.)
  • Available in welded, press-locked, swaged lock or flush mount construction.
  • Available Alloy: 304 Stainless Steel or 316 Stainless Steel
    Product Features:
  • Advantages: SlipNOT® Stainless Steel grating is chemically resistant, has an unmatched surface hardness, and is rust free.
  • Durability: Grating coated with SlipNOT® has a file hard surface of over 55 Rc with a bond strength of over 4000 psi.
  • Finishes: Grates can be ordered in mill finish.
  • Food Processing: SlipNOT® Stainless Steel products are NSF registered and are currently used in food processing plants, cheese plants, poultry processors and beverages plants among others.

Galvanized Grating:

  • Available SlipNOT® surface: Steel
  • Available in: Grade 2 (Med.) or Grade 3 (Coarse)
  • Available in welded, press-locked, swaged lock or flush mount construction.
    Product Features:
  • Advantages: SlipNOT® Galvanized Steel grating has an unmatched surface hardness, is rust protected, and has a long life and a lower cost.
  • Durability: Grating coated with SlipNOT® has a file hard surface of over 55 Rc with a bond strength of over 4000 psi.
  • Note: 7 and 11 spaced grating may have internal strands between bars from the hot dip galvanizing process.
