Aluminum Ships LaddersThe two most important features of Precision's SL series Ships Ladders are ease of installation and no maintenance. The relative weight of these units compared to a steel unit makes it much easier to install, and its aluminum construction makes it virtually maintenance free. A Ships Ladder is an ideal solution for mezzanine access or, when combined with a Precision Ladders' Roof Hatch and Extend-A-Rail ladder safety post, for roof access from inside your building. Some important characteristics of these ladders are: - All components shall be aluminum alloy 6005-T5
- Stringers are 5" x 2" x 3/16" aluminum channel
- Treads are 5-3/16" x 1-1/4" x 1/8" extruded aluminum channel with deeply serrated surface to maximize traction in a 26" clear width (std)
- Handrails shall be 1-1/4" schedule 40 pipe (1.6" OD)
- Mill finish aluminum (std)
- Available in climbing angles from 60 degrees to 75 degrees
Available as options: - Ladder widths up to 48" maximum
- Other finishes: primed for field painting, anodized, powder coat
- Other tread materials: bar grating, checkered plate and Anti-Slip grit plate
