The clean design of the Center-Strut® system meets the most demanding requirements for world-class competition play. This strong and stable mast combines the strength of four structural steel tubes welded into one rugged horizontal support providing the most stable backboard support possible. Its ability to dampen vibrations typical with aggressive play is unequaled.

Available in 8' and 10'-8" extensions to provide additional clearance for optimum player safety while meeting domestic and international (FIBA) requirements. In playing position the retractable casters allow the entire bottom of the base to rest on the floor on gray non-marking neoprene, providing maximum stability on all types of flooring surfaces.

Each 1235 Portable Backstop Unit Includes:

  • Backboard: No. 00208-000 - 72" x 42" Rectangular glass backboard. Fully tempered 1/2" thick glass with markings “fired” into glass to prevent wear.
  • Bottom Edge Backboard Padding: No. 00326-000 Bolt-on backboard padding molded from high-density gray polyurethane foam.
  • Rim: No. 00245-500 Ultra-Flex® goal with a positive lock release mechanism which is adjustable to conform to NCAA, Professional and International (FIBA) recommendations to insure proper ball rebound after years of use. Tube-tie net attachment system improves player safety by eliminating conventional formed wire ties.
  • Padding: Fully padded with 2" thick shock-absorbing material in the color of your choice. Optional boom pad available to meet FIBA requirements. Optional custom logo padding available at a surcharge.
  • Floor Anchors: No. 01236-300 floor anchor system included with 10' 8" extended units.
  • Finish: White Enamel
  • Ballast: Furnished with ballast concealed in base.
  • Warranty: 2 year on all parts, Limited lifetime warranty on backboard provided with unit.

A unique tension spring and compression strut system controls folding for operator ease and is concealed inside the unit for safety & appearance.
