Each Pflow lift is designed with a variety of safety features that protect men, materials and equipment. Available Pflow safety features include: spring-loaded safety cams, overtravel protection, safety gates and enclosures that meet or exceed all code requirements.
Exclusive DeckLock Safety System
Pflow's patented DeckLock system eliminates unsafe conditions during loading and unloading of vertical lifts and protects against misuse. High capacity DeckLocks automatically extend to lock the vertical lift carriage into place to prevent carriage free fall at critical upper levels. DeckLock Safety System protects men, materials and machines by eliminating potential accidents caused by carriage drop. Decklocks offer added assurance for safe loading and unloading with a fork truck and ensure that pallet jacks and hand trucks can load/unload smoothly, easily and safely. Pneumatic or mechanical operation is available.
Pflow Safety Gates & Enclosures are durable and provide maximum safety protection for vertical lift installations. Safety Gates provide access during loading/unloading and are equipped with electro-mechanical interlocks. The interlocks prevent a gate from being opened unless the carriage is at the designated level and also prevents carriage movement if any gate is not fully closed and locked.
Vertical Acting Gates
Pflow Vertical Acting Gates are available in single and bi-panel models. Designed to save space, don't intrude into aisles, and are not easily damaged. Bi-panel models, with telescoping panels, offer the most space efficient protection and require significantly less overhead clearance. Pflow Vertical Acting Gates are counterbalanced with an exclusive cross-shaft design. This ensures the gate remains constantly level when raised from either the right side, left side or center.
Swing Gates
Single and bi-parting swing gates are available in a variety of widths. Equipped with 8 ft. post heights that permit passage of full 7 ft. high loads. Maximum single-panel width is 7 ft. Bi-parting swing gates save space using smaller panels and come in standard sizes to 12 ft. wide. Both types are available in custom sizes.
Sliding Gates
Pflow Sliding Gates conserve space and are supplied with overhead track and 8 ft. high support posts to permit passage of full 7 ft. high loads. The maximum standard width is 11 ft. overall. Custom sizes available.
Enclosures
Pflow Safety Enclosures provide guarding on all sides of a vertical lift. Enclosure panels are fabricated of 1/2 inch expanded metal and structural angle in 1 ft. to 5 ft. increments.
Pflow vertical reciprocating conveyors (VRC) are covered by the ANSI/ASME B20.1 code. Pflow Industries has over 10,000 vertical lifts installed in 50 statesno Pflow unit has ever been shut down for lack of code compliance. We guarantee that should you be unable to use your Pflow VRC due to a code issue, Pflow will help you solve the conflict or repurchase the equipment at your full purchase price.
Pflow Industries provides general arrangement drawings for each vertical lift including plan and elevation views, equipment specifications and guarding requirements. Comprehensive installation instructions, electrical schematics and owner's manual are provided for proper installation of Pflow lifts.
