Product Introduction
To Sectional and Rolling Doors

Sectional Doors

Sectional doors are the most widely used upward-acting doors today. They are typically constructed of four or more horizontally hinged sections which are raised and lowered with the assistance of a spring counterbalance. Sectional doors are guided open and closed by continuous tracks on each side of the jambs that allow the door to move upward, resting horizontally above the opening, or at an angle along the wall above the opening.

Sectional doors can accommodate a wide range of applications including loading docks, vehicle maintenance bays, fire stations and many others. They offer many glazing options and can be equipped with a pedestrian pass door.

Types of Sectional Doors

Insulated Steel Doors. Heavy-duty steel sectional doors with a core of thermally-efficient insulation for energy conservation in industrial, commercial and institutional applications.

Steel Doors. Heavy-duty steel sectional doors for most industrial, commercial and institutional applications.

Aluminum Doors. Sectional doors that can provide large glazed areas. Especially suited for commercial applications where high visibility and light transmission are important.

Special Application Doors. This category covers a wide variety of special sectional doors, including: high usage doors for applications where doors are subjected to extreme heavy use; a removable center post application for extra wide openings; ventilated doors for applications requiring the free flow of air; pedestrian pass doors which allow personnel passage without raising the door; and weight counterbalance doors for use on high traffic, vertical lift applications.

Rolling Doors

Rolling doors are flexible in design and can easily be customized to accommodate virtually any opening and mounting condition. They are especially suited for applications where headroom and backroom are limited. Door curtains are available in a variety of materials and finishes, and security grille patterns.

The basic components of rolling doors are the counterbalance, the guides, a curtain consisting of interlocking slats and endlocks, or a grille pattern with rods and links, and a bottom bar. As the curtain is raised, it rolls up around a barrel which houses the door's counterbalance system. Guides retain the curtain in the opening.

Types of Rolling Doors

Service Doors. Medium to heavy-duty, vehicular type doors with interlocking connecting slats for industrial, commercial, distribution center and vehicle maintenance applications.

Insulated Service Doors. Medium to heavy-duty service doors with dual, integral slats filled with a polyurethane foam insulation for energy conservation.

Continuous Sheet Doors. Economical rolling doors with a simplified design and a curtain of continuous roll-formed steel, for light commercial, farm and mini-warehouse type applications.

Special Application Doors. This category covers a variety of special rolling doors including: ventilated doors with fenestrated or perforated slats to allow free flow of air and vision through the opening; combination doors/grilles satisfy exterior applications where free flow of air and visual access are needed only part of the time; pass doors for applications with pedestrian traffic through the rolling door; craneway doors.

High Speed Traffic Doors. Ultra fast acting roll-up fabric and rigid sliding doors that solve many logistical and environmental problems faced in high traffic/high cycle commercial, industrial and institutional applications.

Types of Fire Doors

Fire Doors. Fire-rated rolling doors meet standards set by Underwriters Laboratories, Factory Mutual, NFPA or other testing authorities for use in rated fire walls. Applications range from vehicular-size fire doors to counter fire doors.

Types of Counter Doors

Counter doors. Counter type rolling doors offer security in applications such as cafeterias, cashiers, ticket offices, pharmacies and parts storage areas. Available in a variety of curtain materials including galvanized, painted steel, aluminum, stainless steel and wood.

Types of Security Grilles

Security Grilles. Overhead coiling and side folding grilles provide security and limit public access while allowing visibility, air circulation and light transfer. Common applications include retail store fronts, schools, convention centers and parking garages.
