Omega Safety Barriers feature structural mounting posts designed to be common in both in-line and corner applications. Only Omega offers you the versatility of both inside corners and special angles without using additional posts - ultimately saving you money.
Omega's high strength 12" rail is
designed specifically for in-plant applications. Constructed from the highest
quality hot rolled, cold rolled, 11 gauge steel. Rigid 2-rib rail design
resists damage and offers the widest variety of mounting methods to meet
any application.
Omega’s unique barrier design offers
a stronger rail to post connection. (3) grade 5 bolts with nuts and oversized
washer gives you greater strength. This design uses the post to help distribute
the energy from an impact over the entire system, so you are not relying
strictly on the shear strength of a couple of bolts to keep the system
from failing.
Omega's Removable Rail design offers
the greatest amount of flexibility without compromising the overall strength
of the Omega Barrier System. The cane bolt pin can be removed from either
hinge, allowing the gate to swing right to left. When both pivot pins are
removed, the section can be quickly removed and set to the side until access
is no longer required.
Omega's standard finish is an epoxy
based heat cured powder coating, with ultraviolet and sea spray
enhancements. This process offers you literally years of maintenance free
protection, even for outdoor applications. The bright safety yellow color
acts as a visual, as well as a physical, barrier between your vehicle
traffic and your personnel, building, or equipment.
Rail sections shall be constructed
from hot rolled, cold formed 11 gauge steel, and shall meet the
requirements of ASTM, grade E steel modified to a minimum yield of 50
K.S.I. Rails shall be a minimum of 1¾" wide x 12" high x
required length no greater than 10', with a two rib design.
Mounting posts shall be a minimum
T.S. 4" x 4" cold formed structural steel tubing that meets the
requirements of ASTM grade B, FY=46 K.S.I.
Standard finish shall be a heat
cured, epoxy based powder coating, and shall be OSHA approved Safety
Yellow with ultraviolet & sea spray enhancements. Custom colors shall
be matched as closely as possible to customers color sample. All
components shall be installed per manufacturer's approved installation
instructions.
