ACUGARD Complete Sensing System for Automatic Swing Doors

ACUGARD Complete Sensing System for automatic swing doors employs 2 focused infrared sensors mounted on each side of the door to detect approaching, moving or stationary objects in the swing path. ACUGARD 3 sensors, when utilized with a U Series microprocessor, systematically adjust, starting from the pivot end, as walls or guide rails overlap the sensing area providing continuous presence sensing throughout the door cycle. An Acumotion A sensor, included with the system, is mounted on the approach side header for activation.

Product Features:

• Focused active infrared pattern detects moving or stationary objects. Sensors remain at full strength at all times
• Mounted on the top rail of the door panel, out of reach of shopping carts and hospital beds which typically impact doors
• Adjustable pattern depth optimizes sensing area
• Acumotion A sensor on approach side header provides activation
• Optional Acusensor 1B can provide additional threshold protection
• When used with the advanced “U” Series microprocessor, as the door opens, sensors starting from the pivot end systematically adjust as walls or guide rails overlap the sensing area (automated adjustment function) for continuous presence sensing throughout the door cycle
• Four delay settings allow installers to adjust for the varying requirements on the swing side and approach side of door
• Output relay-semi-conductor type (N/O & N/C selectable by dipswitch)
• Compatible with both 12-24 VDC and 24 VAC power sources allowing seamless interface with all GyroTech equipment and the equipment of other manufacturers
• Improved detection area for superior performance
• ACUGARD Complete Sensing System will function on all older non-microprocessor based controls, allowing upgrades of existing systems to the new ANSI Standard
• Complies with the newest ANSI and BHMA Standards
