OPERABLE WALL SYSTEMS

Single Panel Systems Single panel systems provide the ultimate in versatility and flexibility. Each panel is moved independently into position. Single panels are ideal for applications that require especially tall panels because each panel is supported by two carriers. Single panels also offer the widest choice of bottom seals to accommodate different job site conditions. Single panels are often used in multi-purpose rooms, exhibitions halls and commercial buildings where maximum flexibility is required.

Modernfold's suspension system used with single panels permits the use of track with switches, curves, and right-angle turns. That makes possible multiple room setups, changes in the location of pass doors and work surfaces, and remote storage. And speaking of storage, Modernfold's programmable trolley and automatic panel position system make storage especially easy.

Paired Panel Systems For straight-line openings that do not require multiple layouts or remote storage, paired panel systems are usually the answer. Panels are hinged together in groups of two, so paired panel systems provide quick and easy setup. And because one carrier is located in the center of each panel, no auxiliary storage track or support is required. They're ideally suited for applications that required exceptional durability, acoustic control and frequent use. Floor-supported paired panels are available for installations where the existing overhead structure cannot support the partition's weight. When not in use, paired panels are designed to be stored at either or both ends of an opening for added storage flexibility. Paired panels are frequently used to divide classrooms, conference or meetings rooms and office space.

Continuously Hinged Systems Continuously hinged panels are connected together in a train, extending as one complete unit. Manually operated, they are the best option for small openings when simplicity, durability and frequent use are the main criteria. And with electric operation, continuously hinged panels provide effortless setup for even the largest openings. To avoid potential damage from misuse, continuously hinged systems also feature acoustic bottom seals that are set automatically when the partition is fully extended. Continuously hinged partitions are often used in small office and commercial openings. Electrically operated partitions frequently divide gymnasiums and large multi-purpose areas.
