Mud Bed and Repair Toppings
Mapecem®
Fast-Setting Binder for Jobsite Concrete Mix
An exceptional resin-based hydraulic binder containing distinctive
chemical ingredients that, when mixed proportionately with graded aggregates
and water, hardens completely within the first 24 hours following the installation
regardless of the thickness of the screed, promoting a shrinkage-free finished
concrete topping with high mechanical strength even in the most unfavorable
conditions. When Mapecem is properly used, the residual moisture
content after 24 hours is less than 2.5%. Mapecem is used like any
ordinary Portland cement mixed in a normal fashion with sand and aggregates
properly graded and sized in relation to the desired thickness of the finished
topping.
Mapecem® Premix
Fast-Setting Pre-Blended Concrete Mix
Fast-setting, premixed, polymer-modified, hydraulic cement-based mortar
for concrete repairs and sub-floor preparation work. Mixed exclusively
with water, Mapecem Premix provides an easy to use, high compressive
strength, fast-setting mortar that sets completely without shrinkage cracks
within 24 hours. When Mapecem is properly used, even in the worst
conditions, its moisture emission is less than 3 lbs./1000 sq. ft./24 hrs.
(1,36 kg/92,9 m2/24 hrs.), when measured with the calcium chloride test
kit, allowing the floor covering (vinyl, wood, rubber, linoleum, carpet,
etc.) to be installed after 24 hours. Ceramic tile and natural stone flooring
can be installed after only 3 to 4 hours.
Mapelath
Substrate Correction System
A lightweight grid lathe system used in preparation of substrates.
Mapelath is stapled to the substrate, then prepared with Mapecem®
Premix, Ultracontact or Ultracontact RS as the final surface
to receive tile & natural stone, sheet vinyl, carpet, hardwood or engineered
floor systems. Mapelath is a thin application system that will substantially
increase floor rigidity without compromising the overall finished height
of the floor. In addition, the floor surface can be screeded to meet stringent
tolerances of todays floors. Mapelath is non-corroding and alkaline-resistant.
