Mankato Kasota Stone, Inc. operates one of the oldest continuously running dolomite quarries in the United States — and The Minnesota River Valley has the largest deposits of dolomite in North America. Dolomite is strong due to a unique combination of magnesium and calcium, and it’s beautiful because it comes in soft earth tones, contains crystal patterns, and reflects sunlight softly.
