Guard Rail, U-Two & 'U' Racks Bicycle Parking Racks

The "U" Rack provides economical, secure bicycle parking which is ideal for apartments, retail outlets, office malls, or other settings where appearance is important but economy is a consideration. The "U" Rack allows the use of "U"-type locks and provides two-point contact when the bike is resting against it. The "U" Rack is offered in four different variations; U-Two, "U" Rack, the new Square "U" Rack, and the new "U" Rack on Rails.

U-Two Racks are 34" high and 16" wide. They are constructed of 1-5/8" OD steel tubing and a 2" "C" channel. They can park up to eight bikes. U-Twos are available in either a galvanized or powder coat finish. The rails for the U-Twos are galvanized for both the galvanized and powder coat loops. All U-Twos can ship via UPS.

"U" Racks are 34" high and constructed with 1.90" and 2-3/8" OD steel tubing with a 1/2" flat bar. The flat bar adds additional support by keeping the wheel from turning. With the addition of cabling to the lean bar, the "U" Rack meets Class II specifications by allowing the bike's frame and both wheels to be locked with one padlock. "U" Racks park up to two bikes and are available in four distinct styles. All "U" Racks can ship via UPS. For the first time, "U" Racks are offered with our own powder coated e-Steele™ finish as an option in addition to a galvanized, powder coat, and stainless steel finish.

Specifications

U-Two s- The bicycle parking rack shall be the UT160-__-__(insert bike capacity and finish selection) bicycle parking rack as manufactured by Madrax, a division of Trilary, Inc. Finish options are hot-dipped galvanized (ASTM A123) or powder coated. Rails shall be hot-dipped galvanized. Rack shall be constructed of ASTM A53, 1-1/4" Schedule 40 steel pipe (1.66" O.D. × 0.140" thick wall (42.2mm × 3.6mm) or better and ASTM A36, 2" × 1" × 3/16" (50.8mm × 25.4mm × 4.7mm) hot-dipped galvanized (ASTM A123) channel.

'U' Rack - The bicycle parking rack shall be __-__-__ (insert Item Nos., Finish, and Installation Method) 'U' Rack, 2-bike capacity parking rack as manufactured by Madrax, Inc. Rack shall be of one piece construction to prevent disassembly. Rack shall be constructed of structural steel.

FINISHES

The parking rack shall be hot-dipped galvanized after fabrication. Rack shall be hand filed to remove galvanizing flash.

Rack shall be powder coated after complete fabrication with triglycidyl isocyanurate (TGIC) powder, a polyester coating. The color shall be ___ (list color). To insure powder coat adhesion, steel must be free of any scale, paint, varnish, or rust. Substrate preparation prior to powder coating is to include a chemical wash and rinse followed with an iron phosphate treatment.
