Heavy Duty Winder & Winder-Plus Bicycle Parking Racks

Heavy Duty Winder bicycle parking racks meet or exceed the specifications of similar serpentine-type stands. In addition, their loop dimensions are calculated to provide sufficient clearance for bicycle handlebars, pedals, and seats – clearances not always available on all serpentine-type racks. The overall height of 42" makes for easier loading of the racks from one or both sides.

The Heavy Duty Winder's massive frame (2-3/8" OD structural steel tubing, 2" Schedule 40 pipe) is suited to the most abusive institutional environment and allows the use of high security "U" locks to secure the frame of the bicycle to the rack. The Heavy Duty Winder racks are available up to 21-bike capacity models for in-ground or surface mounting. They are offered in a galvanized, powder coat, or stainless steel finish.

The Winder Plus bicycle parking rack has the same sleek, modern look as heavy-duty serpentine type racks. It is available in a 42" rack height. The Winder Plus is constructed of strong, high quality 1-5/8" OD structural steel tubing (1-1/4" Schedule 40 pipe).

The Winder Plus has the capacity to park up to 21 bikes and is available in a galvanized, powder coat, or stainless steel finish. Mounting options include in-ground or surface mounting.

Form massive, contemporary looks blend nicely in any setting.

Function high-security, "U-type" locks can be used to secure bicycle frame to the rack.

Specifications

Heavy Duty Winder: The bicycle parking rack shall be the HW238-__-__-_ (insert bike capacity, installation method and finish selection) bicycle parking rack as manufactured by Madrax, Division of Trilary, Inc. Hot-dipped galvanized or powder coated options: Rack shall be constructed of ASTM A53, 2" Schedule 40 steel pipe (2-3/8" O.D. × 0.154" thick wall (60.3mm × 3.9mm)) or better. Stainless steel option: Rack shall be constructed of ASTM A312, 2" Schedule 40, TP 304 stainless steel pipe (2-3/8" O.D. × 0.154" thick wall (60.3mm × 3.9mm)) polished to a satin #4 finish. Rack shall be a minimum of 42" (1066.8mm) high to provide proper clearance for parked bicycles.

Winder-Plus: The bicycle parking rack shall be the WP158-__-__-__ (insert bike capacity, installation method and finish selection) bicycle parking rack as manufactured by Madrax, a division of Trilary, Inc. Hot-dipped galvanized (ASTM A123) or powder coated options: Rack shall be constructed of ASTM A53, 1-1/4" Schedule 40 steel pipe (1.66" O.D. × 0.140" thick wall (42.2mm × 3.6mm) or better. Stainless steel option: Rack shall be constructed of ASTM A312/ASME SA312, 1-1/4" Schedule 40S, TP 304 stainless steel pipe(1.66" O.D. × 0.140"thick wall (42.2mm × 3.6mm)). Height is 42" (1066.8mm).

FINISHES

The parking rack shall be hot-dipped galvanized after fabrication. Rack shall be hand filed to remove galvanizing flash.

Rack shall be powder coated after complete fabrication with triglycidyl isocyanurate (TGIC) powder, a polyester coating. The color shall be ___ (list color). To insure powder coat adhesion, steel must be free of any scale, paint, varnish, or rust. Substrate preparation prior to powder coating is to include a chemical wash and rinse followed with an iron phosphate treatment.
