LATICRETE® Floor HEAT Mat

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

LATICRETE Floor HEAT Mat is a versatile floor warming mat designed to be installed underneath tile and stone floors to provide luxury and comfort. The product includes adhesive backing for easy installation.

All electrical connections must be made by a licensed electrician. Failure to do so will void all warranties and claims. Comply with all applicable building and electrical codes.

Suitable Substrates (Interior Dry Area Only)
  • Concrete
  • Mortar Beds
  • Exterior Glue Plywood*
  • Existing Ceramic Tile and Stone
  • Cement Terrazzo
  • Cement Backer Board

* Over TCNA approved constructs using plastic lath when using portland cement based self-leveling underlayments.

Limitations
  • Interior floor installations only.
  • Not for use in showers, tubs or steam rooms.
  • Adhesives/mastics, mortars and grouts for ceramic tile, pavers, brick and stone are not replacements for waterproofing membranes. When a waterproofing membrane is required use a LATICRETE Waterproofing Membrane (see Section 10 FILING SYSTEMS).
  • Note: Surfaces must be structurally sound, stable and rigid enough to support ceramic/stone tile, thin brick and similar finishes. Substrate deflection under all live, dead and impact loads, including concentrated loads, must not exceed L/360 for thin-bed ceramic tile/brick installations or L/480 for thin-bed stone installations where L=length of span.
Cautions

Consult MSDS for more safety information.

  • Do not turn LATICRETE Floor HEAT on until entire installation of tile and grout has fully cured.
  • During cold weather, protect finished work from traffic until fully cured.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not staple heating elements directly.
  • Do not allow LATICRETE Floor HEAT to come into contact with water or moisture.
  • Use only appropriate size of LATICRETE Floor HEAT for specified area of floor to be heated. DO NOT TUCK/INSTALL/FOLD EXCESS MAT INTO WALL CAVITY.
