Krukowski Stone Company’s natural stone thin veneers are produced from our full veneer material yet use up to 75% less stone than our full veneer products while maintaining the same natural surface appearance. Thin veneers not only dramatically reduce materials but also significantly reduce installation, shipping and construction costs.
All of our 4” veneers are available in sawn thin veneer form. When installed it is very difficult to determine if the project is a full depth or thin veneer. The thin veneer stone depth can vary from 3/4” to 1 1/2” (+/-). The majority of our thin veneer products vary from 11-13 pounds per square foot and all of our thin veneers weigh less than 15 pounds per square foot as required by Uniform Building Code of 1997. In some cases there may be some differences in appearance between the full and thin veneers, such as all of our Palace Blends have smaller heights than what is available in full veneer. The blade size on our equipment is 12” therefore it is rare that we have dimensions that exceed 12” in height. There are also some differences in the packaging, for example the maximum length for pieces in handy packs is 22” due to the length allowed in the handy pack. We are also offering a new line of Thin Veneer Accessory Stones. Select from four stone types: Cambrian Cream, Carmel Cream, Indiana Limestone or Silverdale available in keystones, trim stones, hearthstones and sills which adds to the architectural detail of any project. To aid in keeping costs down in our product lines we do not automatically pre-blend the blended products. The individual products that make up the blends are packaged separately in handy packs, crates or full pallets. For an additional charge we will pre-blend these materials here at our facility prior to shipping.
