Pre-Fabricated Swing GatesSeries 8000 Pedestrian GatesJamieson's Series 8000 pre-hung pedestrian (walk) gates ship ready for immediate installation at the jobsite. All gates and components in this series are manufactured and assembled by our team of fabricators and assemblers to meet your custom specifications. HEAVY DUTY CONSTRUCTION:Standard Series 8000 gate frames are manufactured from 2" square x 3/16" wall heavy steel tubing with 4" posts. The posts can be round schedule 40 (typical for chain link) or square heavy wall (ornamental). Cross-bracing between the posts above & below the gate frame provides rigidity, squareness and stability during transportation and installation. The gate is welded to the door frame with Elite Power Hinges. These hinges are heavy duty and super quiet with double ball bearings that pivot on a 3/4" ground and tempered solid stainless steel shaft. They are maintenance free and self lubricating to provide long life with free gate movement. The weight capacity per pair is 1000 lb. For gates installed between existing columns or posts, Jamieson applies the same fit-for-use and installation friendly principles. Our pre-fabricated hinge plates include either fixed or adjustable barrel hinges with the mating requirements either pre-drilled or fabricated onto the opposing half of the gate frame. At installation, it is only a matter of determining location, then drilling and lagging the hinge plate to the column/post followed by hanging the pre-set gate frame. The completed product is available with either a galvanized or powder coated finish to match the aesthetics of the project. Material substitutions are welcome and our design team will assist with custom drawings and specifications to meet your specific application. SIMPLE INSTALLATIONSeries 8000 gate installation is simply a matter of setting the two posts in concrete piers. The bottom cross-brace is removed or set in a shallow trench excavated between the footings. The gate is then inserted into the footing, braced upright and concrete poured. Where magnetic latches or electronic access control features are pre-assembled, all wiring is run at the factory and fed through a 3/4" coupling 6" below grade on the latch side of the gate. INSTALLED ACCESS FEATURES:We know that there are almost as many ways to gain entry or exit a gate as there are gates. Most options required are difficult products to field assemble - such as magnetic, electronic or combination locks, panic bars, hydraulic closers and so forth. Our specialty is to provide you custom products preassembled in a factory controlled environment by our team of installation experts. This means better quality controls for you and a more efficient and cost effective means of installation.
