Saturn Wing Door

International's Saturn design door can be found in many places around the world - from nearly every large air supported dome to three thousand feet below the earth's surface in many North American coal mine shafts, Most US Nuclear submarines and battleships, many pleasure cruise ships and most major high rise buildings.

The specific features of the Saturn Wing are no visible fasteners, full framed wings, and bullnosed (radiused) outside wing stiles.

While 6'-6' diameter X 7'-0" height stock doors are available for immediate shipment, these doors may be custom built from 6'-0" to 10'-0" diameter and 7'-0" to 13'-0 floor to ceiling height.

Standard canopies are 3⅛" but may be modified in many ways by simply raising the cornice height or applying trim bars or channels. Glass ceilings are available using 1" solid bar frames.

Enclosure walls are available with a standard 4" sightline, 4" center mullions and bullnose wallposts. However, these features can be modified in many ways including all metal design 1" (finished both sides) or design "1U" (finished concave only).

Saturn doors come standard with an overhead speed control, but in case you are specifying a glass ceiling, a floor speed control is available. Also you may desire our fully automated orbiter drive system. In this case, please allow for a 12" canopy height.

All revolving doors are required by "Boca" National Building Code and the National Fire Protection agencies "Life Safety Code" to be equipped with a speed control to limit the door speed and an emergency collapsing mechanism to allow for emergency egress.

All International Revolving Doors meet or exceed all known federal building code requirements.
