IBP glass block skylights provide features unavailable in conventional plastic skylights. By selecting various block patterns and colors, designers can customize an IBP skylight to meet the aesthetic, energy efficiency, and lighting requirements of a project. Because security is always important, the grid system serves as security bars even if block are broken and removed. IBP skylights provide greater sound insulation qualities than conventional skylights. Additionally, the durability and beauty of aluminum and of glass block make this a superior skylight.
IBP skylights accommodate typical curb and flashing construction as detailed. Standard skylight models span areas up to 49" x 80" (six block wide by ten block long) without additional support. Custom skylights can be designed to span larger areas.
