Features

• Allows construction of interior wythe in advance of exterior wythe.
• Rectangular pintle acts as a vertically adjustable anchor to bond exterior masonry, while restraining in and out movement. Crimp functions as a cavity drip.
• Projecting eyes are factory-welded to accommodate different thicknesses of insulation.*
• Special design of pintle serves to mechanically secure insulation to the masonry backup.
• Available mill galvanized, hot dip galvanized or stainless steel.
• Reinforcing for interior wythe can be STANDARD WEIGHT (9 ga. x 9 ga.), EXTRA HEAVY (3/16 in. Side Rods x 9 ga. Cross Rods) or SUPER HEAVY DUTY (all 3/16 in.). Eyes and pintles are 3/16 in. dia. standard.

Short Specification

Where horizontal mortar joints do not align in composite, cavity or insulated walls or when interior wythe is to be constructed before exterior wythe, reinforcement shall be LOX ALL^® ADJUSTABLE EYE-WIRE (truss or ladder type) as manufactured by HOHMANN & BARNARD, INC., Hauppauge, NY or approved equal.

*When ordering HOHMANN & BARNARD EYE-WIRE, state block width, cavity size, thickness of insulation (if any) and brick width. Eyes are welded 16 in. o.c.

H & B recommends Type 304 or Type 316 stainless steel for maximum protection against corrosion.

• Reinforces both inner and outer wythes and provides vertically adjustable ties between them.
• Non-aligned bed joints are compensated for and telltale joint variations are eliminated because the mason no longer has to force brick under rigidly fixed reinforcing.
• The box portion does not clog with mortar and a certain amount of longitudinal adjustment is provided.
• Projecting box portions hold rigid insulation in place while the hook holds it against the back-up ... an inexpensive securing system.

Reinforcement for inner and outer wythes available in any combination of ladder or truss types.

NOTE: This system is functional only when bed joints of the inner and outer wythes do not align.

Hook acts as a two-way restraining collar and can be reversed to increase adjustability.
