ANCHORS FOR STONEWORK

Halfen Anchoring Systems manufactures a broad range of handset stone anchors, and works closely with specifiers, architects, engineers and stone contractors to find solutions for the most complex stone anchoring conditions. Halfen's support anchors and restraint anchors offer superior strength, reliability and ease of installation. Many variations of anchors are available, offering a selection of standard and custom alternatives to suit the requirements of most projects. In addition, Halfen can provide design support and anchorage engineering. Halfen stone anchors can be bolted to pre-installed Halfen cast-in channels, or installed using drill-in fasteners.

HRM SERIES ADJUSTABLE ANCHORS

Halfen's HRM series of stone anchors is ideal for light to medium duty applications. HRM anchors have maximum working loads from 90 to 113 lbs (0.4 to 0.5 kN) per anchor. The three-dimensionally adjustable anchors permit a reliable and simple anchoring of natural stone slabs. The range suits projections (substrate to pin) from 1-7/8" to 5-7/8" (47 to 149 mm). HRM anchors are available in A2 (type 304) stainless steel, and include serrated body, serrated washer, and half-pin or full-pin. HRM anchors are the only ones that allow in-out fine adjustment once the stone is set in place.

BA and DT anchors are three-dimensionally adjustable natural stone anchors for medium to heavy-duty applications. These body anchors are capable of bearing up to 293 lbs (1.3 kN). Depending on model and size, the range covers projection ranges (wall to pin) from 2-3/8" to 10-5/8" (60 to 270 mm). BA and DT body anchors can be used both in horizontal and vertical joints, and are available in A4 (type 316) stainless steel.

CUSTOM ANCHORS FOR STONEWORK

Halfen SAP series pin-type stone anchor clips are available with two-way or one-way loose pins plus one-way fixed pins. Anchor clips are manufactured from annealed type 304 [A2] stainless steel; with back leg having either a single mounting hole for bolting to back-up, multiple holes for self-drilling screw attachment to metal stud back-up, or serrated slot that provides installation adjustment yet resists slip when fully bolted up. SAP anchors are custom-designed and engineered to suit specific project conditions.

Halfen SAK series kerf-type stone anchor clips are manufactured from annealed type 304 [A2] stainless steel; and are available for one-way up, one-way down and two-way kerf conditions. Available with single hole, multiple holes and serrated slot in back leg for connection to back-up. SAP anchors are custom-designed and engineered to suit specific project conditions.

GROUT-IN ANCHORS

The UMA Series of mortar anchors are suitable for anchoring stone panels to concrete, filled masonry block and brick back-up.  Easy to install; simply drill a hole in the back-up, fill with mortar, and insert the anchor to leave specified projection. Once mortar has cured, stone may be set. UMA anchors are manufactured from type 316 [A4] stainless steel. They provide mechanical anchoring of stone cladding with cavity conditions from 3/4" (20 mm) to 11 3/4" (300 mm), and are available with half-pins for starters and full pins for two-way connections. UMA anchors can support vertical (dead loads) and horizontal loads.
