GUARDIAN’S WALL AND PANEL INSULATION – GWP SERIES

DESCRIPTION
Guardian's faced and unfaced wall and panel insulation are composed of inorganic glass fibers bonded together by a thermosetting resin. These semi-rigid boards are available in a variety of sizes, thicknesses and densities to fit nearly any wall and/or panel application. GWP Series, Type I, is also available in roll form with a factory-applied foil scrim kraft facing.

USES
GWP Series products have been designed to be used primarily with standard metal panels, masonry walls, curtain wall assemblies and cavity walls. Products can be effectively installed in both factory-fabricated panels and field installations.

BENEFITS
Exceptional Thermal Efficiency:
Because of the inherent properties of glass fiber, GWP Series products reduce energy consumption, thereby resulting in lower operating costs.

Structurally Stable:
GWP Series products maintain thickness and structural integrity, even after being subjected to compression packaging.

Lower Labor Costs on Installation:
Its light weight, coupled with ease of fabrication, makes this product economical to install.

TECHNICAL DATA
*Surface Burning Characteristics (UL Classified):
When tested in accordance with ASTM E 84, GWP Series products do not exceed a flame-spread rating of 25 or smoke developed of 50.

Corrosion-Resistant:
Will not cause corrosion of steel or aluminum.

Resistant to Fungi or Bacteria:
Does not breed or promote bacteria or fungi.

Thermal Shock-Resistant:
Will not shrink, crumble or crack.
* The above flame-spread rating was determined when tested in accordance with ASTM E84. This standard is used solely to measure and describe properties of materials and products in response to heat and flame under controlled laboratory conditions. This numerical flame spread is not intended to reflect hazards presented by this or any other material under actual fire conditions. Results are reported to the nearest five rating.

ENCAPSULATED GWP SERIES FIBERGLASS INSULATION

DESCRIPTION
Guardian’s Encapsulated GWP Series insulation is our own quality fiberglass batts sealed in a polyethylene or PVC film.

USES
Encapsulated GWP Series products are designed for use in standard metal panels. It is also recommended where a fibrous clean environment is needed, or where the insulation is subjected to substantial moisture or air movement, such as in applications behind a perforated interior liner panel.

BENEFITS
Low Dusting
Dust that is normally generated from fiberglass batts is virtually eliminated due to this innovative packaging system by sealing the batt in polyethylene or PVC film.

Acoustical Protection
The encapsulated batt reduces fibrous dust and continues to act as an excellent acoustic medium through the absorption of sound energy.

Moisture-Resistant
The encapsulated batt will aid in the thermal performance of the product by substantially reducing the possibility of moisture damage when used in damp or high humidity environments.

No Direct Contact with Fiberglass
Since the fiberglass insulation is totally sealed in a polyethylene or PVC film, your workers never come in direct contact with the fiberglass.

CUSTOM-ENGINEERED BATT AND ROLL BLANKETS

DESCRIPTION
Guardian’s custom-engineered batt and roll blankets are composed of long glass fibers bonded together with a thermosetting resin. Standard batt sizes include 1' x 4', 16" x 4', and 2' x 4'; however, numerous additional sizes of batts and rolls are available should quantities dictate. Custom-engineered products are produced with higher densities to achieve better K-values and handling durability than the standard commercial or industrial "filler" blankets.

Guardian’s Manufacturing Flexibilitytailored to your needs. Guardian can produce products to meet your specific density size, thickness and binder content as your requirements dictate.

USES
Although most products are specifically designed to customer requirements, Guardian’s custom-engineered batts and rolls are utilized in various refrigeration and water heater applications, as well as in applications for the office furniture and truck and bus industries.

BENEFITS
Thermal Efficiency:
Because of the inherent thermal properties of glass fibers, Guardian’s custom-engineered products save energy and reduce heat transfer.

Acoustical Properties:
This group of fiberglass products effectively aid in the absorption of sound energy.

Structurally Stable:
Custom-engineered products fabricate easily with a knife and maintain thickness and structural integrity, even after compression packaging.

TECHNICAL DATA
* Surface Burning Characteristic (UL Classified):
When tested in accordance with ASTM E84, Guardian’s custom-engineered products do not exceed a flame-spread rating of 25 or smoke developed of 50.

Corrosion-Resistant:
Will not cause corrosion of steel of aluminum.

Resistant to Fungi or Bacteria:
Does not breed or promote bacteria or fungi.

Thermal Shock-Resistant:
Will not shrink, crumble or crack
